The faults can be quickly and easily recorded in detail along with all required information such as maintenance group, company, date and time, deadline and photos, and can be followed up until completion. The report depiction happens „at the touch of a button“ and can be simplified by selecting categories such as components, levels, maintenance groups, companies and/or time and date. BauDoc allows several different departments to work on the same project simultaneously; which, for example, makes it possible to work on high voltage facilities and ventilation systems at the same time. The graphic plan and work base (blueprints and/or photos) give us a quick overview of the sate of development and deficiencies (finished, in progress, reminded, open etc.) and create a virtually complete form of project documentation in all phases of the project and is implementation. Advantages SKILL BauDoc has created for us: Through an easy and  user-friendly operation SKILL BauDoc simplifies our work on construction sites essentially and saves us time within our daily commitment of facility and object monitoring and surveillance. We use SKILL BauDoc in all of our subsidiaries and can’t imagine working without it anymore! I use SKILL BauDoc in my expert consulting office. After a very short acclimatisation phase to the new system direct captions and documentations are easy to create. The previously time-consuming post-processing, creating of tables and scales, assignment of photos has dropped by approx. 80%. Only a blueprint,  p.r.n. and a photo are all that is required for localisation and description, and everything can be done via tablet-computer on-site. In addition to the one-time acquisition of all deficiencies etc., a massive amount of time is saved while creating reports in the office since the reports are accessible within a few clicks. The complete amount of time saved per report/statement or assessment  lies at about >50%. The time saving on-site is increased even more by using pre-written text blocks which is possible without any problems with this software.  Another advantage of BauDoc is that previous mistakes caused by inaccurate handwritten notes are no longer a problem. The subsequent construction of localisation plans per CAD is no longer necessary, seeing as this has already been done on-site via the table-computer.  The safety and stability of files and documents on a server based system also had a major say in our decision for SKILL BauDoc. You can easily integrate reports into Word or Excel drafts, or create and send them as a PDF file straight away without having to be an EDV-specialist. If desired, all files and documents are accessible to all parties involved via a web server.     "93 percent of construction companies sleep right through digitization" Economically, the construction industry is developing slowly: Its net growth was 4 percent in the past decade; compared with the manufacturing sector (27 percent) as well as for overall economic growth (11 percent), it is even astonishingly slow. The reason is that the industry slept right through digitization. This is the result of a study by German consulting firm Roland Berger. For its recent paper "Digitization of the construction industry - The European Way for Construction 4.0",  forty German construction firms and construction suppliers were asked how they assess the potential of digitization and how far they are in terms of implementation. Accordingly, 93 percent of construction companies realize the importance of digitization, but only barely act in accordance to this realization. Less than 6 percent of construction companies use continuous digital planning tools, for example a mobile construction documentation such as SKILL BauDoc. In the field of "Ensuring digital customer and supplier access" (eg a classic CRM software such as SKILL Web CRM), Roland Berger also sees some serious negligence: "Professional customer management is particularly important for the building industry. This was hitherto often underestimated", a spokesperson said. "After completion of a building project, there often is no contact with the customer for a very long time.
